Trio of Seahawks Post Top-10 Finishes at St. James

SOUTHPORT, North Carolina – A trio of UNCW women's golfers – Phu Khine (T-2nd), Mallory Fobes (T-6th) and Victoria Levy (T-10th) – finished in the top-10 as the Seahawks closed out the 2023 Colonial Athletic Association Championships in fourth place at The Reserve Club at St. James Plantation on Sunday.

Charleston claimed its second straight CAA Championship by 17 strokes ahead of second-place Delaware. The Cougars' Emma Schimpf was the league's individual medalist while Khine (69-76-73=218) shared second with Charleston's Viktoria Hund and Delaware's Anna Kittleson.

The top four, along with Elon's Annabelle Ackroyd, were named to the CAA All-Tournament team.

UNCW closed out the championship event with a 296-303-302=901 scorecard, two strokes behind the third-place Phoenix.

Khine closed out her final CAA Championship appearance with four birdies in the third round, including three on the front nine. The Seahawks paced the field with 36 birdies over the three-day tournament.
