Sparks Continues To Pace Men's Golf

OPELIKA, Ala. – Host Auburn fashioned an 18-under-par score of 270 on Monday in the second round to build a commanding lead at the Tiger Invitational presented by Jason Dufner at the Grand National Lake Course.

The seventh-ranked Tigers extended their lead to 21 strokes over Troy for the tournament lead.

Troy's Scott Brantley is tied with Reed Lotter, Alex Vogelsong and Brendan Valdes, all of Auburn, for the medalist lead at seven-under.

UNCW junior Patrick Sparks paced the Seahawks for a second straight round when he carded an even-par round of 72 on Monday.

The Seahawks dropped one spot to 15th in the 18-team field.

UNCW will tee off the final round of the tournament on Tuesday at 9:50 a.m. EST.
