Seahawks Conclude Clemson Invitational

SUNSET, South Carolina – The UNCW women's golf team closed out the Clemson Invitational in 12th place on Sunday at The Reserve at Lake Keowee.

The Seahawks posted a 303 third-round team score while senior Mallory Fobes shot one-over-par 73 in the final round to finish with a share of 27th place.

Ole Miss edged Louisiana State by one stroke for the team title.  A pair of Tigers in Clemson's Annabelle Pancake and LSU's Ingrid Lindblad joined Virginia Tech's Morgan Ketchum and Illinois' Crystal Wang in a four-way tie for individual medalist honors.

UNCW (299-302-303=904) registered 33 birdies and was on par for 151 holes.

The Seahawks now prepare for the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Golf Championships from Apr. 14-15 at the St. James Plantation in nearby Southport, N.C.
