Fobes Paces Seahawks at Lake Keowee

SUNSET, South Carolina – UNCW's Mallory Fobes holds a share of 14th place with an even-par 72 score following Friday's first round of the Clemson Invitational at The Reserve at Lake Keowee.

The Seahawks are tied with Tennessee in ninth place after carding a 299-team score. The host Tigers lead the 16-team field by six strokes ahead of Ole Miss.

Clemson's Savannah Grewal (68) paces the 83-player individual field entering Saturday's second round, which begins at 9 a.m.

Redshirt sophomore Deborah Spair (T-24th) joined Fobes, who contributed four birdies, as UNCW golfers in the top 25.
