Seahawks Conclude Play at UCF Challenge

ORLANDO, Florida – UNCW's Mallory Fobes closed out the UCF Challenge with a share of 14th place at the Eagle Creek Golf Club on Tuesday.

No. 2 Wake Forest topped the 18-team field with a 277-team score in the final round. The Knights' Anna Nordfors captured individual medalist honors by two strokes over Mississippi State's Julia Lopez Ramirez.

The Seahawks (285-286-291=862) finished their spring opener tied for 12th place, up four spots from last year's edition of the three-day event, alongside no. 23 Iowa State and Penn State.

Fobes carded an even-par 72 score in the third round, the second time this season the senior has achieved par or better in every round of a tournament.

Redshirt sophomore Victoria Levy posted a -1 (71) score on Tuesday.

The Seahawks are idle until next month when they travel to Ewa Beach, Oahu, Hawaii to compete in the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational hosted by the University of Hawaii from Mar. 6-7.
