Expected Inclement Weather Forces Baseball Schedule Adjustments

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Due to expected inclement weather on Friday, UNCW has announced several changes to this weekend's season-opening Hughes Bros. Challenge, which begins on Friday.

The Seahawks and Ohio will play one game on Friday with a start time of 5 p.m. Navy and Virginia, meanwhile, will play in Charlottesville at 2 p.m.

On Saturday, all four teams will play at Brooks Field. UNCW and Ohio will meet again at 10:30 a.m. followed by Ohio and Virginia at 2 p.m. The final game on Saturday will be the Seahawks and Navy with the first pitch set for 6 p.m.

The 10:30 a.m. game is contingent upon Friday's game beginning before 6 p.m. If the 6 p.m. game starts later than 6 p.m., then the 10:30 a.m. game will be canceled and the other two games will be moved up an hour to 1 and 5 p.m.

The weekend's schedule will conclude on Sunday with Ohio and Navy facing off at 11 a.m. followed by UNCW and 19th-ranked Virginia at 3 p.m.

All ticket holders with tickets to a game in which date and opponent has changed can exchange their tickets to the new date and time. Please contact the ticket office at 910-962-3233 to exchange tickets.
