Women's Basketball Preview: Davidson

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW women's basketball team will resume its non-conference season following a 13-day layoff at Davidson on Monday night at the John M. Belk Arena.

The Seahawks own a 6-4 advantage over the Wildcats in the all-time series. The two North Carolina-based opponents will meet for the first time since Nov. 2016.

LAST TIME OUT
UNCW continues play following final exam week after returning from a Midwest trip in which they dropped decisions at Iowa State and Nebraska in early December. Senior guard Britany Range pulled in a team-high 13 rebounds over the two-game road swing, including a season-high seven boards against the Cornhuskers.

Freshman guard Taylor Henderson has surpassed double figures scoring in three of her last four games while senior guard Evan Miller has averaged 16.6 ppg over her last three games.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
Davidson, who has received votes in the last four AP Top 25 Polls, carries a seven-game win streak into Monday night after besting High Point 77-40 on Dec. 8. The Wildcats are a perfect 7-0 at home.

Fifth-year guard Suzi-Rose Deegan, leads the team with 14.6 ppg and delivered a team-high 22 points in the victory over the Panthers.

UNCW returns to Trask Coliseum on Thursday, Dec. 21, to play in-state opponent NC Central at 2 p.m.
