Volleyball Swept At Charleston

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW's Jadyn Barry finished with a match-high 19 digs, but the Seahawks fell to host College of Charleston in three sets 25-20, 25-19, 25-16, on Saturday in Coastal Athletic Association volleyball action at TD Arena.

The Cougars raised their record in the league to 3-4 and 6-12 overall. The Seahawks, meanwhile, dropped their second straight outing and fell to 8-9 and 5-2.

Katie Lanz paced the Seahawks with eight kills while Alexa Brezeault and Emily Hanlon added seven apiece.

UNCW committed nine service errors and did not record an ace on the afternoon.

Lexi Wierzbicki and Sofie Vogel had nine and eight kills apiece for the Cougars. Vogel finished with a.381 hitting average and did not commit a hitting error.

The series concludes with a 1 p.m. start on Sunday.
