Volleyhawks Fall In Four-Set Decision

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Delaware finished off a Coastal Athletic Association weekend sweep of UNCW with a four-set win over the Seahawks (23-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-18) on Sunday at Hanover Hall.

The Blue Hens, who remained in second place in the league with the wins, remained hot with their ninth straight win and pushed their records to 18-4 overall and 11-3 in the league. UCW, meanwhile, slides to 7-7 in the conference and 10-14 on the season.

Lani Mason held match-high honors with 14 kills for the Blue Hens while Savannah Seemans added 12. Mason added four aces.

Katie Lanz again paced the Seahawks' offense with 11 kills while Jadyn Barry had a match-high 14 digs.

The Seahawks visit Stony Brook in a key conference two-match series beginning on Nov. 4.
