2022-23 Men's Golf Schedule Announced

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW head men's golf coach Daniel Bowden, who begins his sixth season leading the program, has announced a 10-tournament schedule for the 2022-23 season, which opens on Sept. 9 at the Rod Myers Intercollegiate.

"By competing in Hawaii, as well as four ACC-hosted and one SEC-hosted event this season, our team has an outstanding opportunity to compete against the best" said Bowden. "I'm looking forward to seeing our five new players join our talented returners to create a very deep and talented team. We will look to build on our championship DNA as we embark on our third CAA title in four tries."

The Seahawks kick off their schedule for the second straight season in Durham, N.C., at the Rod Myers Intercollegiate. For UNCW, it will be the first of five tournaments they'll play in the state of North Carolina. The two-day event will be played at the Washington Duke Inn and Golf Club.

The rest of the fall schedule includes returns to the J.T. Poston Invitational (Sept. 26-27), Wolfpack Intercollegiate (Oct. 15-16) and the Williams Cup (Oct. 21-23).
The Williams Cup, which is held at the Eagle Point Golf Club in Wilmington, is hosted by North Carolina and includes some of the nation's top golf programs.

UNCW will get its first look at the defending Colonial Athletic Association champions College of Charleston when it visits the low country for the Battle at Briar's Creek in early February.

The Seahawks will make their longest trip of the season in mid-February when they head to Hawaii to compete in the John Burns Intercollegiate on Feb. 16-18, 2023. UNCW last competed in the tournament in 2020 and finished tied for fifth.

Following a trip to Auburn for the Auburn Intercollegiate (Mar. 5-7), UNCW hosts the Seahawk Intercollegiate on Mar. 26-27 at the Country Club of Landfall. It will be the 11th edition of the tournament overall and UNCW has won it five times in total, including the last three tournaments.

The final test before the CAA Championships will be the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial in Charlottesville on Apr. 10-11.

The CAA Championship returns to the Dataw Island Club's Cotton Dike Course on Apr. 23-25.

The NCAA Regionals will be hosted May 15-17 by six locations including Auburn, Clemson, Michigan State, UNLV, Oklahoma and San Jose State.

The NCAA Championship, won by Texas in 2022, returns to Scottsdale, Ariz., at Grayhawk Golf Club.
