Isley Takes Third CAA Golfing Honor

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Sophomore Walker Isley fashioned career-lows in tournament score and low round at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic and was named Player of the Week for a third time by the Colonial Athletic Association on Wednesday.

Isley led the Seahawks with a career-best tournament score of 209, topping his previous mark of 211, set at the Tiger Invitational in early March and equaled at the Seahawk Intercollegiate in the final week of March.

At the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, Isley also posted a new career-low round of 67 in the second round of the tournament. He fashioned four birdies and an eagle for his five-under-par round.

Isley has three top-five finishes in the spring portion of the schedule and owns a 70.64 stroke average over the course of five tournaments. For the year, Isley paces the Seahawks with a 72.31 stroke average, which ranks seventh on UNCW's single-season records list.

UNCW competes in the Wofford Invitational on Mar. 11-12, in the final event before the Colonial Athletic Association championships on Apr. 24-26, in Beaufort, S.C.
