Falck Reaches ITF Futures Doubles Semifinals

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Junior Reece Falck of the UNCW men's tennis team recently advanced to the semifinals of the International Tennis Federation's Futures doubles event in Wellington, New Zealand.

Falck, a native of Christchurch, New Zealand, received a wild card from the New Zealand Tennis Federation. He partnered with LSU's George Stroupe, collecting four ATP doubles points for their efforts.

""We're really happy for Reece and him picking up some more ATP points to add to his resume," said UNCW Head Coach Mait DuBois. "While most players are taking Christmas vacation, we love to see Reece working and getting some great experience with some of the best players in the world."

Falck and Stroupe outlasted Satchel Benn and James Watt, 6-7 (11), 6-3, 12-10, in the first round and topped No. 369 Jeremy Beale and Stefan Vujic, 1-6, 7-6 (8), 10-5, in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals, Falck and Stroupe lost to Jake Delaney and Finn Reynolds, 6-3, 6-4.
