School Records Continue To Fall For Swimming & Diving

COLUMBIA, S.C. – School-record performances by the women's 200 Medley Relay and Jacob Duracinsky in the 200 Freestyle highlighted another impressive night of results for UNCW swimming on Thursday at the Gamecock Invitational.

The 200 Medley Relay of Victoria Cunningham, Gil Shaw, Reece Alexander and Sarah Olson combined for a time of 1:40.37, surpassing the record of 1:40.62, set just last season at the Colonial Athletic Association championships in Christiansburg, Va.

Duracinsky won the finals session of the 200 Free with a time of 1:37.65, but his record-breaking performance came earlier in the day when he posted a time of 1:36.84, besting the previous record of Louviere (1:37.07) set at the 2022 CAA championships.

Louviere added a win for the Seahawks in the 100 Butterfly when he clocked in with a time of 47.92 seconds.

Noah Sipowski took third in the 100 Breaststroke (55 seconds) and swam the second leg of UNCW's 200 Medley Relay that finished second with a season-best time of 1:28.80.

Will Goldey swam the leadoff leg of that 200 Medley Relay and later in the meet he finished third in the 100 Backstroke (48.76).

Katie Knorr finished fourth in the women's 400 IM (4:19.94) and the 800 Free Relay of Brooke Knisely, Sarah Rogillio, Gracie Steelhammer and Cameron Snowden placed third with a time of 7:28.66.
