School Record Falls At Gamecock Invitational

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The UNCW women's 400 Medley Relay topped a solid outing on the first day of the Gamecock Invitational when it set a school record with a time of 3:41.55 on Wednesday at the Carolina Natatorium.

Host South Carolina holds leads in both meets after one day of racing. The Seahawks are second in each meet. Team standings are listed below.

The relay of Quinn Bike, Gil Shaw, Cameron Snowden and Sarah Olson combined for the school-record time, best the previous mark of 3:43.04 set in 2014 at the Colonial Athletic Association Championships.

Olson, who also swam on UNCW's second-place 200 Medley Relay, set a personal best in the 50 Freestyle when she touched the wall in a time of 22.89 seconds to finish third.

The men's 200 Medley Relay posted the best finish on the day for the Seahawks on their side of the meet. E'Likai Crompton-English, Noah Sipowski, Wes Carter and Jacob Duracinsky recorded a time of 1:20.65 to take second.

Sam O'Brien took this in the 500 Free after clocking in at 4:23.73.

UNCW's 400 Medley Relay on the men's side was third (3:16.16).
