Women's Soccer Preview: Elon

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW women's soccer team begins its final homestand of the 2022 season at 7 p.m. on Thursday night vs. Colonial Athletic Association rival Elon at UNCW Soccer Stadium.

The game will be streamed live on FloFC with Jim Whitmeyer and Tom Lamont on the call. Live stats can be found at UNCWStats.com.

The Seahawks, 6-5-1 (2-2 CAA), return home following a road split last weekend. The Phoenix, 6-4-2 (2-2 CAA), starts the third leg of a two-week road swing on Thursday.

UNCW's Madison Henry continued her stellar season with a goal and assist in Sunday's 2-1 victory at Hampton. The junior midfielder currently leads UNCW with six goals and six assists.

Sophomore Kayla Burroughs has joined Henry as an offensive weapon in recent games. The 5-6 forward has netted goals in three of her last four games. She is one of six CAA players with three game-winning goals this year.

Elon is powered by freshman Ashlee Brehio with five goals this season, including the Phoenix's lone goal in Sunday's 2-1 loss at Drexel.
