Levy Leads Seahawks at Landfall Tradition

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW's Victoria Levy fired a two-under-par 70 to lead the Seahawks following the first round of the Landfall Tradition on Friday at the Country Club of Landfall's Pete Dye Course.

No. 9 San Jose State posted a 278-team score to pace the 18-team field by one stroke over No. 2 Wake Forest. The Demon Deacons' Rachel Kuehn and Florida State's Charlotte Heath matched the tournament's single-round record with six-under-par 66 scores.

The Seahawks recorded a 294-team score to conclude the opening round in 13th place.

Levy fashioned 15 holes of par or better, including five birdies, to enter tomorrow's second round with a share of 12th place.

The first round experienced a brief 30-minute rain delay Friday afternoon before play resumed with the final remaining holes.

The second round will begin on Saturday with a split tee start at 8:30 a.m. Spectators are free to attend throughout the weekend.
