Swimming & Diving Preview: North Carolina

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW winds down a busy fall semester at home this Friday when it hosts nationally-ranked North Carolina for a dual meet at 4 p.m. at the Allen Natatorium.

Admission for the meet is free and the meet will be streamed on FloSports.tv.

The Seahawks last competed on Oct. 8, in a dual meet against visiting Georgia Tech while the women also swam against Campbell. UNCW dropped both meets to the Yellow Jackets, but the women halted a brief losing skid to Campbell with a blowout win.

The North Carolina meet will the penultimate home meet for the Seahawks before the home schedule concludes against with a Senior Day meet against Duke on Oct. 29.

In it's most recent rankings released on Monday, Collegeswimming.com ranked the Seahawks 30th nationally on both the men's and women's list. North Carolina, meanwhile, is 21st on the women's list and 25th on the men's.

UNCW will honor and recognize seven seniors in the final home meet of the fall semester next weekend when it hosts Duke. The meet is set for 11 a.m.
