Volleyball Preview: at North Carolina A&T

Seahawks visit newcomer A&T this weekend for two CAA matches

GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCW takes on conference-newcomer and instate rival North Carolina A&T this weekend in a pair of Colonial Athletic Association matches on Oct.22-23 at Moore Gymnasium.

The Aggies (7-13, 3-7 CAA) swept a pair of road matches last weekend at Hampton while the Seahawks (3-14, 1-7 CAA) fell twice at home to CAA-leader Hofstra.

Katie Lanz, a senior, continued her climb on UNCW's career kills leaders list last weekend, moving into sole possession of 20th overall with 740 kills. She trails Madison Peters (745) and Brittany Sutton (748) for 19th and 18th, respectively on the all-time list.

Annabelle Schall, a senior setter, ranks fifth in the league averaging 6.97 assists per set and is fourth in aces with 0.38 per set.

Following this weekend, the Seahawk will play their final conference road matches of the season with two at Delaware (Oct. 29-30) before hosting Elon (Nov. 5-6) and Hampton (Nov. 12-13) to close out the season.
