Levy Paces Seahawks at Tar Heel Invitational

CHAPEL HILL, North Carolina – UNCW's Victoria Levy posted a one-under-par 71 third-round score to conclude the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational tied for sixth place on Tuesday at the Governor's Club.

Kentucky captured the team title by five strokes over Wake Forest. The Wildcats' Jensen Castle earned medalist honors after winning a playoff hole vs. Duke's Phoebe Brinker.

The Seahawks (293-294-306=893) finished in ninth place in their third fall tournament.

"I'm really proud of our team for battling today to the end in the tougher playing conditions," said UNCW Head Coach Cindy Ho. " We really stepped up and made some birdies in the last handful of holes to move us up in this strong field.  Victoria had a great finish to her round to post a fantastic finish."

Levy (72-72-71=215) was joined in the Top 20 by teammate Mallory Fobes (70-75-76=221), who tied for 20th. The pair carded four birdies in Tuesday's final round.

UNCW now turns its attention to hosting The annual Landfall Tradition from Oct. 28-30, at the Landfall Country Club's Pete Dye Course.
