Huffman Registers Big Win At ITA Regional

WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina – Senior Zoe Huffman knocked off N.C. State's Chloe Henderson in the B2 singles bracket to highlight the UNCW women's tennis team's play on the second day of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Carolina Regional on Friday.
 
Huffman and teammate Stela Joksimovic each reached the quarterfinals of the B2 bracket. Huffman skipped past Henderson, 6-0, 6-1, in the Round of 16 and Joksimovic trimmed UNCG's Luna Urso, 6-3, 6-1.
 
In doubles, Lauren Robbins and Anna Daniels advanced to the B consolation finals with an 8-6 victory over the Queens tandem of Hanna Axelsson and Kelsey Sinclaire. Robbins and Daniels will face Western Carolina's Jade Groen and Dasha Osadova in the finals.
 
Play continues Saturday in singles and doubles at the WFU courts.
