RALEIGH, N.C. – Freshman
Sam O'Brien won the 500 Freestyle and added a third-place finish in the 1000 Free as UNCW dropped a dual meet on Friday to third-ranked NC State at the Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center.
The Wolfpack improved to 7-0 on the season while UNCW slipped to 4-4.
O'Brien was joined by senior
Henderson Louviere and newcomer
David Fitch with gold medals in the 200 IM and 100 Fly, respectively. Louviere clocked in with a time of 1:52.86 while Fitch made his UNCW debut with a time of 50.73seconds.
The men's 400 relay rounded out UNCW's winners with a mark of 3:02.97.
Freshman
Aidan Duffy fashioned a pair of third place finishes in the 200 Breaststroke and 200 IM.
The Seahawks close out their dual meet schedule on Feb. 5 when they host Davidson for Senior Day.
