WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW's men's swimming and diving program heads up I40 on Friday for a meet against third-ranked NC State at the Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center. The meet will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
The Seahawks carry a 4-3 mark into the meet and are coming off a loss at South Carolina earlier this month in Columbia. The Wolfpack, meanwhile, are 6-0 following an impressive win at Virginia last weekend. It will be the 25th meeting all-time between the two programs.
The diving portion of the meet will be at 3 p.m. followed by the swimming schedule at 4 p.m.
UNCW closes out its dual meet season on Feb. 5 against visiting Davidson. The Seahawks will honor and recognize their seniors prior to the meet.
Freshman
Aidan Duffy is one of three Seahawks with times among the top three in the Colonial Athletic Association Duffy is ranked third in both the 200 Breaststroke and 400 IM with times of 2:01.84 and 3:58.35, respectively.
Fellow freshmen
Sam O'Brien and
Will Barker own the top times in the conference in the 1000 Freestyle (9:23.29) and 100 Backstroke (48.72), respectively.
