Seahawks Add Mills for 2022 Season

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW Head Women's Soccer Coach Chris Neal has announced the addition of graduate transfer Chloe Mills to the Seahawks' roster for the 2022 season.

Mills, who joins the Seahawks after four seasons at Northern Kentucky, becomes the ninth member of the Seahawks' incoming class.

"We are excited to add Chloe to the squad," said Neal, the 2021 Colonial Athletic Association Coach of the Year. "She is athletic and tough with four years of successful experience at this level. Chloe was an All-Conference center back for a successful team at NKU. We think she will transition easily to the level of play in the CAA."

A native of Newburgh, Ind., Mills started 9-of-17 games for the Norse as a senior. She scored her lone goal of the season in a 2-1 victory at Dayton and played 90 or more minutes eight times.

Mills earned Second-Team All-Horizon League recognition during the Spring 2021 campaign after anchoring a defensive unit that ranked fourth in the nation with a 0.345 goals against average. She helped the Norse win the 2020 Horizon League regular season title and scored the game-winning goal against IUPUI.

A four-year starter at Northern Kentucky, Mills opened 33-of-34 games in her first two seasons and tallied four goals with one assist.

During her scholastic career at Castle High School in Newburgh, Ind., Mills earned Second Team All-State honors while starting all 80 matches. In addition, she played club soccer for Sporting Southern Indiana and helped the team win the 2017 Indiana State Cup.
