WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Seahawks face another stiff test this week when they host Tennessee for a dual meet on Friday. The diving portion of the meet begins at noon with swimming following at 2 p.m.

UNCW swept a dual meet from Army in the first collegiate meet of the 2021-22 season as the Seahawks combined to win 24 events on the afternoon.

Heading up that impressive season-opening appearance were the Seahawk freshmen, who combined to win 10 events. Jacob Duracinsky captured three events for the men while Victoria Cunningham, Reece Alexander and Katie Knorr all notched event wins in their collegiate debuts.

Tennessee will be making its season debut this weekend. The women finished 10th at the NCAA Championships last spring giving them their third straight top-10 finish. UT had 11 swimmers combine for 28 All-America honors. On the men's side, the Vols totaled 11 All-America honors and finished 20th overall.

UNCW's next competition will be a meet later this month in Durham, N.C., against Boston College and host Duke.
