UNCW Opens CAA Tournament With Elon

The Seahawks and Phoenix play Thursday at 7 p.m.

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW opens its 2021 Colonial Athletic Association championship tournament appearance on Thursday at 7 p.m. against third-seed Elon in game five of the tournament at Brooks Field.

Tickets for the tournament can be purchased online at UNCWSports.com/buytickets. The CAA tournament will be streamed on FloSports.tv/caa, where fans can get a reduced subscription rate to watch the games via their computer or streaming devices.

The Seahawks, who are the number two seed, are making their 35th appearance in the postseason tournament, most in the history of the conference. UNCW earned its seed and a day one bye by winning the South Division with a 13-8 record.

UNCW's opponent Elon, knocked off William & Mary, 7-3, in the second game on Wednesday.

Thursday's schedule begins at 11 a.m. with William & Mary and Towson playing in an elimination game followed by top-seeded Northeastern and Charleston at 3 p.m.
The tournament continues Friday with games at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
