Goldey Takes Second Gold Medal In Backstroke

CHRISTANSBURG, Va. – Freshman Will Goldey, who won the 100 Backstroke earlier in the meet, earned his second gold medal at the Colonial Athletic Association Championships on Saturday with a win in the 200 Backstroke at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center.

Towson won its first CAA Men's Championship and the Seahawks finished second for the second straight season.

Goldey's time of 1:46.70 ranks fifth all-time at UNCW. Teammate Brent Hoshall finished third to earn a bronze medal.

In the 200 Breaststroke, Gianmichel D'Alessandro added a bronze medal for the Seahawks.
