ORLANDO, Florida – Junior
Phu Khine carded a 3-over-par 75, including the first hole-in-one of her college career, as the UNCW women's golf team completed play at the UCF Challenge at the Eagle Creek Golf Club on Tuesday afternoon.
Led by Khine, the Seahawks posted a 312 team score to finish the tournament in 17th place. Virginia won the team title after finishing one stroke ahead of Wake Forest at 5-under-par.
Khine, who finished in a tie for 39th place, recorded the hole-in-one on the par-3 11th hole. She also added a birdie in the final round and closed out the tournament with a 7-over-par (74-74-75=223) result.
Sophomore
Mallory Fobes led the Seahawks by finishing in a tie for 35th place (69-76-77=222) after shooting a 5-over-par 77 in the final round.
