Men's Swimming and Diving Tom Riordan

UNCW Wins Three Events At Duke Tri-Meet

DURHAM, N.C. – Sam O'Brien, Gianmichel D'Alessandro and Will Barker all won events for UNCW swimming and diving in a tri-meet with Boston College and host Duke at the Taishoff Aquatic Center on Friday.

The meet concludes on Saturday with Diving events at 9:30 a.m. followed by swimming at 11 a.m.

O'Brien earned a win in the 1000 Free with a time of 9:23.29, the best time in the Colonial Athletic Association this season. Brooke Knisely gave UNCW a second-place finish on the women's side with a time of 10:17.31, also a conference-leading mark.

D'Alessandro, meanwhile, delivered a win in the 100 Breaststroke touching the wall in a time of 55.31 seconds.

Barker, a freshman, continued his strong start to his collegiate career by winning the 100 Backstroke in a time of 49.11.

The men's 400 Free Relay of Jacob Duracinsky, Kenneth Lowe, E'likai Crompton-English and D'Alessandro added another conference-leading time to UNCW's collection with a time of 3:02.18 to finish second.

Crompton-English took third in the 50 Free, Duracinsky was third in the 200 Free and Trinity McNall set a personal- record in the 3-meter dive with 273.05 points.
