Five Facts to Know: Drexel

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – A busy stretch for the UNCW women's soccer team continues on Thursday, Oct. 14, when the Seahawks travel north to Drexel for a 4 p.m. Colonial Athletic Association contest against the Dragons at Vidas Field.
 
Thursday's showdown between the Seahawks and Dragons can be seen online via FloFC.com (subscription required) with Chris Markowitz calling the action. In addition, live stats will be available by visiting UNCWStats.com.
 
Now 7-2-1 overall and 3-1-0 in the CAA, the Seahawks hold second place in the CAA standings after splitting a pair of games last week. Following a 1-0 overtime verdict at William & Mary, UNCW dropped a tough 2-1 double overtime setback against No. 10 Hofstra on Sunday afternoon.
 
Freshman defender Sophie Trepohl and graduate student forward Audrey Harding accounted for the Seahawks' two goals last week. Trepohl, the two-time reigning CAA Rookie of the Week, netted the game-winning marker in the 98th minute against the Tribe while Harding struck in the second half against Hofstra to force extra time.
 
Harding and junior forward Jordan Faveri are tied for the team lead with five goals apiece, while combining to register seven of the team's 17 assists. Freshman goalkeeper Kaylie Bierman, meanwhile, boasts a league-best .868 save percentage and ranks second in the circuit with a 0.67 goals against average.
 
Drexel carries a 5-4-2 overall record and a 1-1-1 mark in CAA play following a scoreless draw against William & Mary on Sunday afternoon. The Dragons have been held to just one goal in their last five games, which came in a 1-0 victory at Charleston on Oct. 3.
 
Sophomore forward Delaney Lappin paces the Drexel offense with three goals and one assist, while three other players have notched a pair of goals. Redshirt junior goalkeeper Miyuki Schoyen has started all 11 games this season, authoring a 1.02 goals against average while stopping 80.0 percent of the shots she has faced.
