Women's Basketball Preview: Drexel

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – With just five games remaining in the regular season, Coach Karen Barefoot and the UNCW women's basketball team know that each game is important as they attempt to secure a first round bye in the Colonial Athletic Association Championship.

The final five-game stretch commences on Friday, Feb. 22, when the Seahawks welcome Drexel to Trask Coliseum for a 7 p.m. clash against the Dragons. Live coverage of the UNCW-Drexel game begins at 6:45 p.m. on the Seahawk Digital Network and 95.9 FM The Breeze with Eric Rhew and Tom Lamont on the call.

In addition, live stats can be found at UNCWStats.com while tickets for Friday's contest are available by logging onto UNCWSports.com/BuyTickets or calling the UNCW Athletics Ticket Office at 800-808-UNCW.

UNCW, 15-9 overall and 8-5 in the CAA, returns to the Port City after dropping a pair of league contests against Towson and James Madison last weekend. Entering this weekend's action, the Seahawks hold the fourth spot in the 10-team standings.

Drexel, meanwhile, carries a 10-game win streak into the first game of a two-game road swing after defeating Northeastern and Hofstra last weekend. The Dragons are 18-5 overall and stand in second place in the league with a 10-2 league mark.
