WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Five seniors, including record-setting forward Devontae Cacok, make their final home appearance on Saturday night (Feb. 16, 2019) when UNCW entertains Colonial Athletic Association frontrunner Hofstra in the regular season home finale for the Seahawks at Trask Coliseum.

Live Seahawk Digital Network (SDN) coverage of the UNCW-Hofstra contest begins at 6:45 p.m. with Mike Vaccaro, the "Voice of the Seahawks," and Marty Feurer on the call. Visit UNCWsports.com/SDN for live audio and video coverage.

A radio broadcast of the game may be heard on 95.9 FM "The Breeze" | WKXB HD 2 – 95.9 FM and 99.9 HD2 and live stats are available at UNCWStats.com.

The Seahawks, 8-19 and 4-10, are playing their 14th and final home game of the season against one of the surprises of the year in the CAA. The Pride, 22-4 and 12-1, reeled off 16 consecutive wins at one stretch and feature a bevy of scoring options anchored by likely CAA Player of the Year Justin Wright-Foreman.

Cacok has turned in an outstanding senior season in his own right. The Riverdale, Ga., product is averaging a double-double of 15.1 points and 11.9 rebounds and has racked up an NCAA-leading (19) double-doubles. He's posted a double-double in 12 of 14 CAA games this season.

Cacok will be joined during a special pre-game recognition ceremony at 6:45 p.m. with fellow seniors Jacque Brown, Daniel Etoroma, Trey Kalina and Shawn O'Connell. Senior managers Thomas Eatman and Hunter Williams will also be recognized.

The Seahawks dropped their sixth straight game late Thursday when Northeastern rallied in the second half for an 81-77 verdict on Valentine's Day at Trask Coliseum. The Seahawks jumped ahead, 44-33, at halftime, but the Huskies rallied behind junior guard Jordan Roland's 13 second-half points to complete the stirring comeback and sweep the regular season series.

Hofstra, meanwhile, is coming off a 99-95 victory on Thursday night at the College of Charleston in a wild affair at TD Arena. The Pride won its 19th game in the last 20 outings as Wright-Foreman bucketed 30 points and junior guard Eli Pemberton contributed 25. The pair overshadowed a school-record 43 points from CofC's Grant Riller, who canned 17-of-25 from the field and all five of his free throws.

Wright-Foreman has been named CAA Player of the Week seven times and brings a hefty 26.2 ppg scoring average into the contest. He ranks third in the country in scoring behind Campbell's Chris Clemmons (29.8 ppg) and Detroit Mercy's Antoine Davis (26.7 ppg).

Cacok and teammate Kai Toews rank among the NCAA's individual leaders, too. Cacok ranks fourth in rebounding (11.9 rpg) and leads the land in double-doubles (19). Toews, UNCW's freshman leader in assists, stands second in assists per game (7.8 apg).

THE STORYLINES

THE SERIES: The Seahawks lead the all-time series with the Pride by a narrow 21-20 margin and have won seven of the last 10 meetings between the two clubs. Hofstra broke away late to claim the first game this year, 87-72, on Jan. 17, 2019, at the Mack Sports Complex on Long Island.

SEAHAWKS VS. PRIDE AT TRASK: UNCW has won two straight over Hofstra at Trask Coliseum, including a 90-70 rout last season. Hofstra's last win in Wilmington came on Feb. 25, 2016, when the Pride edged the eventual CAA champions, 70-69.

FIGURING OUT FEBRUARY: The Seahawks dropped their fourth game in February with last Saturday's loss at Delaware. C.B. McGrath stands 3-9 in February during his two years in the Port City.

CACOK SCORING UPDATE: With 1,501 points in 123 career appearances, Cacok ranks sixth on UNCW's all-time scoring list. He needs just 13 points to move past UNCW Hall of Famer Jay Neary into the school's top-5.

TOEWS CLOSES ON ALESSI: Freshman point guard Kai Toews, who set the freshman assist record earlier this season, has his sights set on the single season mark. Toews has piled up 210 assists, just 34 shy of Rick Alessi's single season record of 244 set during the 1974-75 campaign.

NEXT UP: Following Saturday night's contest, the Seahawks hit the road for their final three outings of the 2018-19 season, beginning with a Thursday, Feb. 21, matchup at Elon. It will be UNCW's first appearance in the new Schar Center.
