Women's Soccer Preview: William & Mary

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Coach Chris Neal and the UNCW women's soccer team continue Colonial Athletic Association play on Thursday night with a 7 p.m. league contest against William & Mary at Martin Family Stadium at Albert-Daly Field.

Live stats for Thursday's contest can be found at UNCWStats.com while CAA.tv will provide a live video broadcast.

Five Things to Know
  1. UNCW brings a 6-2-0 overall record into Thursday's tilt after dropping a 1-0 overtime decision at Northeastern on Sunday afternoon in its CAA opener. It marked the first time the Seahawks were held without a goal this season.
  2. William & Mary, meanwhile, has authored a 4-6-0 overall record with a 1-1-0 mark against league opponents after securing a 1-0 victory at Towson on Sunday afternoon.
  3. UNCW has allowed the fewest goals in the CAA with eight goals in eight contests. Senior goalkeeper Caitie Broderick has authored a 1.00 goals against average, which ranks third in the CAA.
  4. The Seahawks' offense ranks second in the CAA with 18 goals and 19 assists. Redshirt freshman forward Morgan Nanni is eighth in the circuit with 10 points.
  5. William & Mary leads the all-time series by a 24-2-1 margin, but four of the last five meetings have been decided by one goal or less.
Up Next: The Seahawks close out their September schedule on Sunday, Sept. 30, when they face Hofstra in a noon CAA contest at Duke's Koskinen Stadium.
