WILMINGTON, North Carolina – After playing three of its first four games away from home, the UNCW women's soccer team returns to the Port City this weekend for the Courtyard by Marriott UNCW Soccer Invitational.

The Seahawks, off to a 3-1-0 start, face Kent State on Friday, Aug. 31, at 7:30 p.m. before taking on Cleveland State to close out the tournament on Sunday, Sept. 2, at 1 p.m.

- UNCW has not faced Kent State or Cleveland State in women's soccer prior to this weekend.
- The Seahawks tallied four goals in their win over UNCG on Sunday, marking their first game with four or more goals since Oct. 2, 2016, against Hofstra.
- Redshirt junior forward Kirsten Bootes leads the Seahawks with three goals and has tallied the game-winning marker in two of the Seahawks' three wins.
- Kent State freshman forward Khyla Porter and freshman goalkeeper Faith O'Neill were recognized as the MAC Offensive and Defensive Player-of-the-Week, respectively, after guiding the Golden Flashes to a 1-0-1 week.
- Cleveland State, which lost to Kent State by a 2-0 margin on Sunday, enters this weekend's action with a 2-2-0 record and will face Fairleigh Dickinson in the tournament opener on Friday evening.
