Cover Notches Top-20 Finish At Auburn

OPELIKA, Alabama – Senior Pat Cover carded a three-under-par 69 in the final round on Tuesday to finish in the top 20 and lead UNCW at the Tiger Invitational at the Grand National Lake Course.

Ninth-ranked Auburn won its own tournament by 25 strokes over runner-up Georgia State. UNCW finished tied with UNCG for 11th after beginning the final round in 15th.

Maryland's David Kocher took over the tournament lead through 36 holes and carried that lead to a tournament win. Kocher edged Auburn's Ben Schlottman by a stroke.

Cover opened the round in 32nd, but used six birdies to post his top-20 finish.

Up Next: UNCW hosts the annual Seahawk Intercollegiate at the Country Club of Landfall on Mar. 25-26.
