WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW softball team makes the short trip to East Carolina on Tuesday afternoon for a non-conference game against the Pirates. First pitch from ECU Softball Stadium is slated for 4 p.m., which is one hour earlier than previously scheduled.

UNCW (7-13) posted a 2-3 record in its five games at last weekend's Seahawk Softball Showcase. East Carolina, meanwhile, returns home with a 9-16 record after a pair of non-conference tournaments in Hawai'i.

- UNCW and East Carolina will face each other for the 95th time in a long-running series. The Pirates lead the all-time series by a 74-20 margin, but the Seahawks have won the last six affairs.
- Junior Kali Jones led the Seahawks to a sweep of last year's doubleheader against the Pirates by going 5-for-7 with a run batted in.
- Jones and freshman Emily Langkamp paced the Seahawks offensively last weekend by hitting .429 with six hits and a run scored apiece.
- Led by senior Kelsey Bryan, the Seahawks have swiped 29 bases in 38 attempts through the first 20 games. Bryan is 9-for-10 in stolen base attempts while senior Tracy Haynes is perfect in seven tries.
- Junior Laurel Koontz is now tied for fourth in school history with three career saves after closing out both of the Seahawks' victories last weekend.
Up Next: UNCW makes a quick return home on Wednesday afternoon when the Seahawks welcome North Carolina to Boseman Field for a 4 p.m. contest. It will be the Tar Heels' first visit to Wilmington since the 2011 season.
