CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – Junior Meagan Johnson won the 200 Breaststroke at the Colonial Athletic Association championships on Saturday as the Seahawks finished fourth in the men's meet and sixth in the women's.

William & Mary successfully defended their men's title while James Madison captured the women's championship.

"Tonight was a fantastic way to end our week of racing," said UNCW Head Coach Jason Memont. "Everyone who participated tonight had great swims, moved up and scored more points. We had three NCAA B cuts with Evan Arsenault, Meagan Johnson, and Connor Forsythe. We also placed eleven swimmers in the all-time top ten highlighted by a UNCW record for Connor in the 200 Butterfly. I'm so proud of the effort everyone turned in this week and couldn't be happier with the way we finished. Both relays placing on the podium and an event winner in Meagan Johnson were great for our program. I want to thank all our fans who were in attendance or watching us from afar. We felt the support and competed with great intensity because of it. Great things to come for UNCW swimming and diving!"

Johnson won the 200 Breaststroke with a NCAA B cut time of 2:13.11, which also was the second fastest time in UNCW history. She added a fifth-place finish in the 200 Butterfly.

In the women's 100 Freestyle, freshmen Evan Arsenault and Faith Pilcher finished third and fifth, respectively. Arsenault posted a NCAA B cut time of 49.83 seconds, which was also a UNCW freshman record and third fastest all-time at UNCW.

Sophomore Connor Forsythe took second in the 200 Butterfly and set a school record in the process. Forsythe clocked in with a time of 1:47.45, which was also a NCAA B cut qualifier. Fellow sophomore Noah Cahan was fourth in the event with a time of 1:48.83.

Senior Adyson Lowe added a second-place finish in the women's 1-meter dive, scoring 264 points

Both UNCW relays in the 400 Free Relay finished third. Pilcher, Meghan Lahr, Annie Shirk and Arsenault combined for a time of 3:23.27 in the women's final while Thomas McGovern, Jack Cosgrove, Jon Suits and Sean Cannon combined for a time of 2:59.66.
