Swimming & Diving Preview: Davidson

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The Seahawks closeout their home schedule on Saturday when they entertain Davidson in a noon dual meet at the Seahawk Natatorium. UNCW will recognize its seniors prior to the meet.

The meet will be the first of the spring semester for the men while the women knocked off Campbell last weekend in Buies Creek.

The Seahawks own a record of 3-3 on the men's side while the win over Campbell lifted the women to a 5-4 mark.

Davidson is 1-3 in men's competition but are winless at 0-5 in women's action.

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
  1. UNCW visits Gardner-Webb (Jan 20) and South Carolina (Jan. 26-27) in the following weeks before preparing for the CAA Championships (Feb. 14-17) in Christiansburg, Va.
  2. Junior Kyra Schemmel won three events and freshman Charlotte Watts won two in UNCW's win at Campbell
  3. The Seahawks swept Davidson last season at the Seahawk Natatorium
  4. Meagan Johnson leads the CAA with a top time and NCAA B mark of 2:15.36 in the 200 Breaststroke
  5. The Seahawk Natatorium becomes the second athletics facility to feature a video board as it will replace the electronic times board
