The Seahawks, who are 2-4-0 on the season, host former Colonial Athletic Association rival Old Dominion on Thursday, Sept. 7, at 7 p.m. before welcoming Appalachian State to the Port City for a 7 p.m. contest on Saturday, Sept. 9.
Five Things to Know
  1. UNCW is 1-1-0 in its two home games this season. The Seahawks dropped a 2-0 decision against No. 11 Virginia in the season opener before posting a 2-0 win over Dayton.
  2. Old Dominion leads the all-time series against UNCW by a slim 11-10-1 margin. However, the Seahawks have won seven of the last eight meetings with the Monarchs.
  3. UNCW welcomes Appalachian State to Wilmington for the first time since 2007. The Seahawks hold a 5-2-1 advantage in the all-time series.
  4. Senior forward Serenity Waters needs one goal to become the ninth player in program history with 20 or more career tallies.
  5. Freshman goalkeeper Sydney Schneider, who posted a season-high seven saves against No. 9 North Carolina on Sunday, ranks third in the CAA with a .778 save percentage. She is also fourth in the league with a 1.00 goals against average.

Up Next: The Seahawks make a short trip to East Carolina next Thursday night to face the Pirates at 7 p.m. UNCW returns home next Sunday, Sept. 17, for a 2 p.m. showdown against Campbell in their non-conference finale.
