The Seahawks, who are 2-2-0 on the season, face No. 13 Duke on Friday, Sept. 1, at 7:30 p.m. before taking on ninth-ranked North Carolina on Sunday, Sept. 3, at 11 a.m. Both games will be played at Duke's Koskinen Stadium.

UNCW split its two games last week in the Mid-Atlantic Region. After edging UMBC, 1-0, on Friday evening, the Seahawks dropped a 1-0 decision at Navy.
Five Things to Know
  1. UNCW is 0-1-0 all-time in regular season play against this weekend's opponents. The Seahawks dropped a 3-0 decision at Duke during the 2009 season and will be facing North Carolina for the first time during the regular season.
  2. The Seahawks have already faced one nationally-ranked ACC opponent this year, dropping a 2-0 decision against No. 11 Virginia on Aug. 18. UNCW is 2-20-1 all-time against the ACC's current members.
  3. Freshman goalkeeper Sydney Schneider enters the weekend ranked fourth in the Colonial Athletic Association with a 0.75 goals against average and a .786 save percentage.
  4. Senior forward Serenity Waters ranks sixth in school history with nine career game-winning goals after scoring in the 88th minute at UMBC. In addition, she needs one goal to become the ninth player in program history with 20 or more career goals.
  5. UNCW did not allow a goal in 264 minutes, 42 seconds prior to Navy's goal in the second half on Sunday.

Up Next: The Seahawks make their return home next Thursday (Sept. 7) to host former CAA foe Old Dominion at 7 p.m. It will be the first game of a two-game homestand for UNCW, which welcomes Appalachian State to the Port City on Saturday, Sept. 9.
