Third Round Pairings
ORLANDO, Florida – Junior
Lyberty Anderson led UNCW for the second straight round after posting a 1-over par score as the Seahawks continued play at the UCF Challenge at the Eagle Creek Golf Club on Monday afternoon.
The Seahawks finished the second round with a 301 team score to finish the day in 17th place. Mississippi State moved into the top spot in the team standings after shooting an impressive 13-under par round of 275, giving the Bulldogs a seven-stroke edge over Miami.
Anderson, who posted a career-best 68 in the opening round, finished the second round in a tie for 11th place after carding a 1-over par score of 73. She recorded a pair of birdies on the 13th and 18th holes during the second round.
Sophomore
Ellinoora Moisio also posted a 1-over par round on Monday, giving her a share of 40th place entering the final round. Freshman
Thao My Nguyen finished with a 76 for the second straight day while junior
Kayla Thompson improved her first round score by four strokes after completing the second round with a 79.
Junior
Alaina Yeatts rounded out the Seahawks' second-round effort in 94th place after shooting a 91.
Up Next for the Seahawks: UNCW wraps up its first tournament of the spring with the final round of the tournament on Tuesday morning. The round will feature a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
