WILMINGTON, North Carolina – From a journey to the Bluegrass State to battle Eastern Kentucky to an appearance in Nashville's Challenge In Music City to an early December adventure in snowy upstate New York, the UNCW men's basketball team has experienced it all during the travel portion of the 2016-17 schedule.

The regular season road docket concludes early Saturday when the Seahawks challenge Hofstra's Pride at the Mack Sports Complex. The Seahawks (23-5, 12-3) and Pride (13-15, 5-10) collide at 4 p.m. in a game being televised nationally by the American Sports Network.

Live Seahawk Digital Network (SDN) coverage of the UNCW-HU contest begins with Mike Vaccaro providing the pregame show at 3:45 p.m. Visit UNCWsports.com/SDN for live audio coverage. In addition, a radio broadcast of the game can be heard on WLSG 94.1 FM and 1340 AM (Wilmington) and WSME 97.1 FM and 1120 AM (Jacksonville).

UNCW remains in first-place in the Colonial Athletic Association ahead of the College of Charleston (20-8, 11-4), with Towson (18-10, 10-5), Elon (16-12, 8-7) and William & Mary (14-12, 8-7) trailing the frontrunners.

The Seahawks set yet another record with the hard-earned verdict against the stubborn Huskies. This year's club notched it 23rd win of the regular season, besting the 22 victories tallied by the 2005-06 and 2015-16 clubs.

The Seahawks are finishing up a five-day swing through the Northeast after edging Northeastern, 66-65, on Thursday night in Boston. Hofstra, meanwhile, fell to the College of Charleston, 76-72, in Hempstead.

In Thursday night's thriller over the Huskies, the Seahawks sprinted out to a 39-19 halftime cushion behind 20 points from senior guard Chris Flemmings and NU's 25.9 percent shooting in the opening period. The Huskies turned the tables in the second half, however, and sliced the deficit to one point with 52 seconds left to play before the Seahawks closed it out.

"I was very cautious about us for 40 minutes because we had some guys under the weather," said Kevin Keatts, UNCW's third-year coach, following the NU win. "NU has a very good basketball team and they would not lay down. We did enough defensively to win the game. This was a very good team to win on the road. Any road win in this league is a very good one."

Flemmings, the CAA's Preseason Player-of-the-Year, is rounding into form as tournament time approaches. He has averaged 17.0 points over the last four games, with a pair of 20-point performances. The Cary, N.C., product sparked the Seahawks to their fifth CAA title about this time last year and has the team primed for another run.

Following Saturday's clash with the Pride, the Seahawks return to the North Carolina coast for their final two games of the regular season. UNCW will meet Towson on Thursday, Feb. 23, at 7 p.m. before closing the regular season with "Senior Day" on Saturday, Feb. 25, vs. Northeastern.

UNCW has sold out four games at Trask Coliseum this season. Tickets are still available for the final two home games by visiting UNCWsports.com, calling (910) 962-3233 or visiting the Athletic Ticket Office in Trask Coliseum daily from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
