The Seahawks, who enter their weekend finale with a 9-14 overall record, improved to 4-8 in the CAA following another close battle with Towson on Friday night. UNCW held off the Tigers down the stretch to earn the regular season series sweep following a 48-42 triumph inside SECU Arena.

Redshirt junior forward Jenny DeGraaf and junior guard Madison Raque each tallied 13 points in the win for UNCW. DeGraaf, who posted back-to-back double-digit scoring outputs for the first time this season, connected on four free throws in the final nine seconds to secure the victory. Raque, the Seahawks' leading scorer, notched her 13th double-digit scoring effort and made three of the Seahawks' seven three-pointers on the night.

Raque continues to pace the Seahawks offensively by averaging 11.3 points per game, a mark that ranks 16th in the CAA. She has scored in double figures in five of the last six games.

Drexel has won three of its last four games and carries a 17-6 record into Sunday's clash with UNCW. The Dragons currently hold third place in the league's standings with an 8-4 mark after defeating William & Mary, 65-48, in Philadelphia on Friday night for Coach Denise Dillon's 250th career victory.

The Dragons, who never trailed in the contest against the Tribe, had three players score in double figures led by senior guard Jessica Pellechio, who notched a game-high 15 points. Senior forward Sarah Curran added 14 points while senior guard Meghan Creighton chipped in 10 points with three steals.

Curran leads the Dragons offensively by scoring 15.6 points per game while Pellechio contributes 11.8 points per contest with a team-high 66 made three-point field goals.

Drexel leads the all-time series by a 19-8 margin and has defeated the Seahawks in 10 consecutive meetings. The Dragons earned a 71-38 triumph in the first meeting between the teams in Wilmington on Jan. 13.

UNCW returns home next weekend for a pair of CAA tilts, hosting defending league champion James Madison on Friday night before entertaining Hofstra on Sunday afternoon.
