Seahawks Win Eight Events On Saturday

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW had four swimmers and two divers combine to win seven individual events during the first two sessions of the Colonial Athletic Association Pod Meet on Saturday at the Seahawk Natatorium.

The meet concludes on Sunday with session three beginning at 10 a.m.

In the opening session, UNCW's 200 Freestyle Relay of Meghan Lahr, Faith Pilcher, Caitlin Cockcroft and Evan Arsenault opened the meet with a win after clocking in with a season-best time of 1:35.28. Arsenault then delivered UNCW's second win of the session when she posted a winning time of 23.86 seconds, edging W&M's Annie Miller by .02.
 
Session two saw UNCW post five individual event wins, including a sweep of the women's diving events by junior Adyson Lowe. Lowe won the 3-meter board with 265.35 points and finished off a sweep with a winning score of 249.40 in the 1-meter.

Cockcroft picked up her first individual win of the meet taking the 100 Fly (57.10) and freshman Connor Forsythe used a season-best time of 50.52 to win the men's race.

Sophomore Jack Cosgrove also posted a season-best time of 1:40.42 to win the 200 Free.
