Swimming & Diving Preview: at East Carolina


WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW looks to extend its winning streaks this Saturday when they visit East Carolina on Saturday for a 1 p.m. meet at Minges Natatorium.

The Seahawk women won their third straight outing to improve to 3-1 with a win over UNC Asheville while the men upped their record to 2-1 with a win over Catawba.

FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
  1. The series dates back to the 1978-79 season
  2. The Pirates swept UNCW in 2015 as the two programs swam a two-day meet in two different venues
  3. UNCW has seven swimmers who own top-three times in the CAA this season with freshman Evan Arsenault (50 Fr, 100 Fr) and Meagan Johnson (200 Br, 200 Fly) leading the way
  4. On the men's side, nine Seahawks have posted top-three times with Sean Cannon (50 Fr, 100 Fr) and Connor Forsythe (100 Fly, 200 Fly) leading that charge
  5. The Seahawks host the Colonial Athletic Association Pod meet next weekend with James Madison, Delaware and William & Mary also competing
