NEWARK, Del. – The high-flying UNCW men's basketball team eyes its 15th victory of the season on Saturday night when the defending Colonial Athletic Association champions conclude a challenging stretch of four games in eight days with a matchup against Delaware at the Bob Carpenter Center.

UNCW (14-2, 3-0) has reeled off three straight wins and has won 11 of its last 12 outings heading into the 7 p.m. tip on the Delmarva Peninsula.

Live Seahawk Digital Network (SDN) coverage of the UNCW-UD contest begins with Mike Vaccaro providing the pregame show at 6:45 p.m. Visit UNCWsports.com/SDN for live audio coverage. In addition, a radio broadcast of the game can be heard on WLSG 94.1 FM and 1340 AM (Wilmington) and WSME 97.1 FM and 1120 AM (Jacksonville).

The Seahawks are coming off a 90-72 demolition of Drexel on Thursday night at the Daskalakis Center in Philadelphia. Senior guard Chris Flemmings and sophomore forward Devontae Cacok scored 22 points apiece and Cacok added 14 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season in the rout. UNCW converted 60.6 percent to race to a 49-26 lead at halftime and cruised down the stretch in the swing's opening game.

Sophomore guard C.J. Bryce continues to lead UNCW's balanced attack with 17.3 points per game. Flemmings is chipping in 16.1 ppg, senior guard Denzel Ingram is collecting 14.8 ppg and Cacok checks in at 13.6 ppg.

The much-improved Cacok, from Riverdale, Ga., has been one of the top stories early in the CAA season. The Riverdale, Ga., product played just 9.1 minutes per game as a rookie and averaged 3.3 points and 2.2 rebounds. He's pushed those stat lines to 13.6 ppg and 9.6 rpg and leads all NCAA Division I players in field goal percentage, converting 95-of-116 attempts for a gaudy 81.9 percent.

As a team, the Seahawks have been impressive offensively and lead the CAA in several statistical categories, including scoring offense (86.6), field goal percentage (.489), steals (8.1), turnover margin (5.44) and assist/turnover ratio (1.4).

Sitting at 14-2 with a true road mark of 6-1, the Seahawks are off to their best start in school history. UNCW is also atop the CAA standings after three games with a clean 3-0 mark, sharing the perch with Charleston, Northeastern and James Madison.

Delaware (7-9, 0-3) is looking to snap a three-game skid and hand first-year skipper Martin Inglesby his first career conference win. Inglesby took over the program after serving on Mike Brey's staff at Notre Dame the last 13 years. Brey spent five seasons with the Blue Hens from 1995-2000 before moving on to South Bend.

The Blue Hens remained winless in the CAA following a 90-54 drubbing at Northeastern on Thursday. The Huskies torched the nets for 60.8 percent, including a CAA-record 21-of-33 from three-point range, to heat up storied Matthews Arena in Boston.

Freshman guard Ryan Daly is one of two Blue Hens in double figures with 12.8 ppg. Junior guard Anthony Mosley is contributing 10.3 ppg for UD, which is averaging just 63.2 ppg and shooting 40.4 percent from the floor.

The Seahawks and Blue Hens are meeting for the 31st time and UNCW leads the series, 19-11. Coach Kevin Keatts stands 3-1 against UD, while the Seahawks are 5-8 in 13 trips to the Bob, including a 79-71 decision last January.

The Seahawks have been a solid road squad under Keatts. In all games, UNCW has fashioned a 21-17 record in true road games and a 29-20 away/neutral mark away from Trask Coliseum. In CAA action, the Seahawks are 14-6 in true road contests and 18-8 in away/neutral combined games.

Following Saturday's date with the Blue Hens, the Seahawks return to the North Carolina coast for three of their next four games, beginning with a Thursday, Jan. 12, pairing with William & Mary.
