WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Making a brief return to its home court, the UNCW women's basketball team aims to earn its first Colonial Athletic Association victory of the season on Friday when the Seahawks welcome Delaware to Trask Coliseum for an 11:30 a.m. league contest.

The game will be the second "Seahawks Tomorrow" game of the season as the UNCW Department of Athletics expects to welcome over 2,800 elementary school students from 10 area schools. The Seahawks defeated Furman, 56-52, in the first contest on Dec. 15 in front of over 4,000 students.
UNCW carries a 5-7 overall record into Friday's CAA fixture against the Blue Hens following a 73-51 setback at James Madison in the league opener on Monday afternoon. Redshirt senior guard
Jasmine Steele led the Seahawks by scoring 12 points while junior center
Rebekah Banks tallied seven points with a season-high 11 rebounds.

Madison Raque leads the Seahawks offensively by averaging 12.2 points per game while playing a team-high 32.5 minutes per contest. Junior guard
Diamond Willis ranks second on the team with an 8.4 scoring average while Banks is grabbing 8.1 rebounds per game.
After opening the season with a 4-0 record, Delaware has dropped six of its last eight games to enter Friday's contest with a 6-6 overall mark. The Blue Hens also dropped their league opener on Monday afternoon with a 60-49 setback against William & Mary.

Nicole Enabosi and redshirt junior forward
Sade Chatman combined for 36 of the Blue Hens' 49 points on Monday. Enabosi posted her fifth double-double of the season with 20 points and 12 points while Chatman added 16 points with seven rebounds.
Enabosi leads a trio of Delaware players who are averaging double figures in scoring with a 13.0 point per game average while also pacing the Blue Hens with an 8.6 rebound average. Chatman is contributing 11.0 points per game while senior guard

UNCW and Delaware will square off for the 32nd time in a series that dates back to the 2001-02 season. The Blue Hens have a 23-8 advantage over the Seahawks and have won 11 of the last 12 encounters after sweeping the season series last year. Delaware earned a 67-59 victory at home before spoiling the Seahawks' Senior Day with a 56-44 verdict at Trask Coliseum.
Following their Friday afternoon matinee, the Seahawks get back on the road on Sunday afternoon by visiting College of Charleston for a 2 p.m. league contest.
