The Starting Nine: Things to Know for Wednesday's Game1. The Seahawks earned back-to-back walk-off victories to claim a Colonial Athletic Association series against College of Charleston last weekend. Sophomore
Sarah Davis hit a two-run double in the seventh inning of Saturday's 2-1 win before sophomore
Kelsey Bryan scored on a wild pitch in the seventh inning to earn a 2-1 triumph on Sunday.
2. Sophomore
Ashley Best has reached base in eight consecutive games after going 1-for-2 with a walk in the series finale against College of Charleston on Sunday.
3. The Seahawks have played just seven road games this season. Wednesday's game will be their first road contest since dropping a 7-5 decision at South Carolina on Apr. 5.
4. Freshman
Haley Lenderman pitched very well for the Seahawks last weekend. She allowed just six hits in 10.0 innings of work and did not allow a run. In addition, she recorded four strikeouts.
5. Bryan has taken over the team lead with a .310 batting average after posting five hits in her last four games. She also ranks third on the team with 27 hits.
6. East Carolina brings a 20-26 record into Wednesday's contest after dropping two of three games against UConn last weekend. The Pirates have dropped 13 of their last 15 games.

Karlie Smith are tied for the team lead with a .324 batting average. Smith ranks second on the team with 45 hits while Ervin has scored a team-high 21 runs.
8. East Carolina leads the all-time series by a 79-17 margin, but the Seahawks have won the last three meetings, including a pair of games last year at Boseman Field.
9. UNCW and East Carolina played in the first-ever game at ECU Softball Stadium. The Pirates claimed an 8-0 victory over the Seahawks in the contest, which took place on Feb. 16, 2011.
