WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW women's basketball team gets one more chance to prepare for the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament on Wednesday night as the Seahawks visit College of Charleston for a 6:30 p.m. clash against the Cougars at TD Arena.

The Seahawks, who carry a 7-21 overall record and a 3-14 mark in the CAA, enter their regular season finale with hopes of building some momentum heading into the league's annual tournament, which begins next Wednesday in Upper Marlboro, Md. UNCW has dropped six straight games following a 56-44 setback against Delaware in its home finale on Sunday afternoon.

Senior guard
Shatia Cole led the Seahawks with a game-high 18 points in the final home game of her college career, marking the 17th time this season she has been the Seahawks' leading scorer.

The Myrtle Beach, S.C., native, who ranks 11th in the CAA in scoring, has posted 10 or more points in 14 of the last 16 games, including a season-high 23 points against Hofstra on Jan. 15, to elevate her scoring average to 12.9 points per game.

Meanwhile, sophomore center
Rebekah Banks has led the Seahawks' defense in the last two games with eight blocked shots, including a career-high five rejections against James Madison on Friday night. She ranks among the CAA leaders with 29 blocked shots this season, including 11 in the last four games.

College of Charleston, which is currently in eighth place in the CAA standings, will be aiming to snap a six-game losing streak on Wednesday night after dropping a 66-54 decision in its road finale at Hofstra. The Cougars' last win came on Feb. 7 with a 49-46 victory over Drexel at TD Arena.

Junior guard
Breanna Bolden paced the Cougars in Sunday's loss at Hofstra with 15 points, eight rebounds and five steals while senior forward
Jackie Luna-Castro nearly posted a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.

Bolden leads the Cougars by averaging 14.1 points and 7.0 rebounds per game while also recording a team-high 80 steals. Meanwhile, Luna-Castro boasts a 10.4 scoring average while shooting a team-high 48.5 percent from the field.

UNCW and College of Charleston will meet for the 18th time in a series the Seahawks lead by a slim 9-8 margin. The Cougars posted a 64-53 victory over the Seahawks in the first meeting between the teams on Jan. 17 at Trask Coliseum as Bolden and Luna-Castro each tallied a double-double.

Wednesday's game will mark the regular season finale for the Seahawks, who will play in a first round game at the CAA Tournament next Wednesday. Their opponent will be determined following the conclusion of the James Madison-College of Charleston game, which is scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
