Game Notes: UNCW | Drexel • Live Stats • Live Audio/Video
PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania – Love is the theme of the day for the UNCW women's basketball team on Sunday afternoon as the Seahawks aim to celebrate Valentine's Day in winning fashion against Drexel in the City of Brotherly Love.

The Seahawks and the Dragons, who meet for the second time in nine days, conclude their regular season series at the Daskalakis Athletic Center with a 1 p.m. Colonial Athletic Association tip-off. Live stats can be found for Sunday's game by visiting UNCWStats.com while a video broadcast can be seen via the Seahawk Digital Network at UNCWSports.com with production provided by Drexel.

Now 7-16 overall and 3-9 in the CAA, UNCW is aiming to earn its second win in the last three games after falling against Northeastern on Friday night, 72-66. The Seahawks led by as many as six points in the third quarter, but a 19-6 burst by the Huskies in the third quarter allowed Northeastern to leave with the win.

Senior guard Shatia Cole continued her outstanding recent play by leading four Seahawks in double figures with 18 points, marking her 11th straight double-digit scoring output. Junior guard Jasmine Steele contributed 17 points with five rebounds and five assists while sophomore center Rebekah Banks added 11 points with seven rebounds.

Cole, who has been the Seahawks' leading scorer in each of the last nine games, is averaging 13.0 points per game and ranks ninth in the CAA. She also paces the team with 30 steals and ranks second with 59 assists in 23 games.

With a 12-11 overall record, the Dragons enter Sunday's contest with an 8-4 league mark, but will be aiming to rebound after back-to-back tough losses, including a 59-55 setback against James Madison on Friday night in Philadelphia. The Dragons had an 18-point lead in the first half against the defending CAA champions before being outscored 35-19 after the intermission.

Junior forward Sarah Curran, who posted her second double-double of the season with 22 points and 11 rebounds against James Madison, is the CAA's third-leading scorer with a 15.8 average while also ranking seventh in the circuit with a .460 field goal percentage. Senior guard Rachel Pearson contributes 12.3 points per outing and a team-high 54 made three-point field goals.

UNCW will be trying to end an eight-game losing streak against the Dragons when the teams meet on Sunday. Drexel claimed a 71-57 victory over the Seahawks on Feb. 5 at Trask Coliseum.

After Sunday's game, the Seahawks will continue their three-game road trip with a visit to Hofstra on Friday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m.
