WILMINGTON, North Carolina – While the holidays are just a few days away, the UNCW women's basketball team hopes to receive an early winning present on Monday night when the Seahawks host Catawba inside Trask Coliseum at 7 p.m.

The Seahawks, who are 4-5 on the season, are putting the finishing touches on a three-game homestand that has seen them split their first two games. After edging Furman by a 56-52 margin on Thursday afternoon, UNCW dropped a 71-67 verdict at the hands of Wofford on Saturday.

Freshman guard
Moriah Crisp led four UNCW players in double figures against the Terriers on Saturday, scoring all of her season-high 14 points in the fourth quarter with a 6-for-6 performance from the field.

Junior guard
Diamond Willis also set a season high by adding 14 points while junior guard
Madison Raque, the Seahawks' leading scorer, and redshirt senior guard
Jasmine Steele each contributed 10 points.

Raque, who has scored in double figures in five of UNCW's nine games this season, leads the Seahawks' offensive effort by averaging 11.6 points per game. She is also playing a team-best 31.8 minutes per game.

Catawba, which is off to a 7-3 start on the season, will be playing its second exhibition contest of the season when the Indians visit the Port City on Monday night. The Indians bested Coastal Carolina by a 63-58 margin on Nov. 30 in Conway.

The Indians have won three of their last four regular season outings following a 77-63 victory at Anderson on Saturday afternoon. Junior guard
Marshauna Butler led Catawba by posting a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds while junior guard
Serena Brown tallied a game-high 22 points with seven assists.

Senior guard
Bri Johnson leads the Catawba offense by averaging 20.1 points per game while junior center
Terri Rogers contributes 19.9 points per outing. Rogers is also grabbing a team-best 10.3 rebounds per contest.

UNCW leads the all-time series against Catawba by a 4-0 margin, but it will be the first encounter between the teams since the 1980-81 season.
